Crisis Senshi

So you want to be a Crisis Senshi? There are a few things you should know before applying. The Crisis Senshi are by far the strongest senshi in existence. No question about it; these kids are POWER HOUSES. They are stronger than Sailor Galaxia, Chaos, Sailor Moon, and even Sailor Cosmos.

HOWEVER, the Crisis Senshi are not that strong YET. Their souls have been asleep since the dawn of time, waiting to awaken when a power too strong for any other senshi threatens existence. They have yet to really discover their powers, and they are just starting as senshi. This means that, while they are exceptionally powerful, they are not yet as strong as say the Negaverse Senshi. They will grow into such extreme power, but even now, they have difficulty controlling their extreme strengths.

With this in mind, please do NOT make a character that is a God that can totally pwnz0r anyone. Yes, the Crisis Senshi will be pretty strong even in the beginning, but they're still weak compared to other senshi. They have only one attack each, but those attacks are fairly powerful.

Another thing to keep in mind is that each of the Crisis Senshi represents a part of every being in existence. Muse represents the soul, Psi and Epsilon are the mind, and Delta and Rho are the body. They are each (with the exception of Muse) named after a character in the Greek alphabet. If you really want to impress us, use a bit of imagination with what each of their letters are associated with and add them to their likes/dislikes, or even their personality! For instance, Sailor Psi enjoys sailing because the character Psi is related to the movement of water between plants. Get creative! Don't just make your character like, say, physics because their Greek letter relates to that science, because you'll find that just about EVERY Greek letter is related to physics in some way. If you do, make it interesting! Maybe they like physics but they're awful at it? Maybe they hate physics with a burning passion? Have fun with it!

On Special Power: Your Crisis Senshi has a special power they can use outside of their senshi form. This may have an incantation a la Sailor Mars' ofuda attacks, but it most often will not. Your Crisis Senshi's special power should be noticeable, so that they realize that there is something special about them, and it should also have some sort of use in battle. This use isn't ZOMG BLASTING THE OPPONENTS AWAY and it doesn't even necessarily have to be offensive; for instance, Mujou's telekinetic abilities allow him to move objects with his mind. This could be used offensively OR defensively; he could do the obvious thing and toss an object at an opponent, or he could use his power to grab an object he normally couldn't. Say it with me now: CREATIVITY IS YOUR FRIEND.

Note: Crisis Senshi can be male or female.

Negaverse Senshi

You don't want to be one of those new senshi or villains? You just want to be one of the original senshi? FINE THEN! But you should note some things first. The Negaverse Senshi should have some similarities and many differences with their canon counterparts. Confused? Here's the rundown:

Basic Information (from "Name" to "Goals"): These should be completely different from the canon senshi. Naoko Takeuchi didn't know your characters well enough to say exact things that they liked/disliked. If you feel you absolutely HAVE to have a similar like, make it different in some way please, for the love of me! Maybe you say to yourself, "But...but Mars NEEDS to be a Shinto priestess!" Well, I would argue with you there, but if you do go that route, make it unique somehow! Maybe she's a priestess, but she's a total slacker? Maybe she just sucks at it? Maybe she's really good at it, but she doesn't like doing it? If you're going to copy something, GET CREATIVE.

Personality ("Good Points" through "Personality"): This is where things get a little fuzzy. I hesitate to put a number of good points and flaws that you should keep similar, because I don't want you thinking in terms of numbers when it comes to personality. Your character should be markedly different from Naoko's senshi, but there should still be a vague similarity between them that makes me go "Oh, that's what Naoko Takeuchi AIMED for but kinda missed." For instance, our current Sailor Uranus is stubborn and loyal like Haruka, but she's also emotionally constipated, socially intelligent, and very much NOT like Haruka overall, even though they might seem similar at their foundation (both are devoted and somewhat cynical). See what I'm getting at? There should be traces of Takeuchi's work in your character, but there should be notable differences as well.

Appearance: This should be very different. You may keep a similar physical trait if you REALLY, REALLY want to, but the characters DON'T LOOK THE SAME. Again, I use Misora as an example; she's got the same hair and eye color as Haruka, but they look different beyond that - Misora doesn't look tomboyish and she has longer hair, as well as curves. Frankly, Misora's as similar in appearance to a canon counterpart as any Negaverse Senshi should ever get (aka that's the LIMIT).

History: Should be different, except major plot points. Even those should be subtly altered. Sailor Venus was still Sailor V at one point, but maybe she stayed as Sailor V for longer? Maybe she was only Sailor V for, say, a day? Maybe she was Sailor V for a completely different reason than the manga implied? You decide!

Warrior Info: Fuku should be similar at its base (aka similar format; white bodice, short one-layered skirt, same tiara, etc.) - see details in the app form about what you can and can't change. Other than that, everything else should be different - transformation, attacks, etc.

Furthermore, the Negaverse Senshi are as of this moment the most powerful senshi in existence. While the Crisis Senshi have the POTENTIAL to be the strongest, they are still starting out, so until the Crisis Senshi acquire more power, the Negaverse Senshi will be slightly stronger than them.

The Negaverse Senshi are also different from their canon incarnations, in that they have no motivation to help the Crisis Senshi. They are here to warn the Crisis Senshi, yes, and they want to stop the new enemy, but they realize that they are not powerful enough to. Instead, their primary objective in coming to the Universe was to tell the Crisis Senshi of the coming threat. However, because they were separated, right now their primary goal is to find each other and a way of reviving their princess, Sailor Moon. They are currently under quite a bit of stress; they're in an unfamiliar new world with a very strong enemy at their tails, they have been separated and their princess has been killed. Keep this in mind when creating your character and you will get cookies! ^_~

Note: Negaverse Senshi must be female.

A Note on Senshi Awakenings

The senshi of each senshi faction are awakened differently:

The Crisis Senshi are awakened when they are visited by their guardians, who give them their henshin sticks and train them. You may be wondering then, "why did the guardians want Naoko Takeuchi to tell the Crisis Senshi who they were if they could only be awakened when the guardians told them anyway?" The guardians were acting in the terms of a prophecy claiming that only when the Crisis Senshi were told who they were by a destined prophet on their own world (in this case, Takeuchi) would a gate be opened to allow the guardians entrance into the Universe to awaken the senshi. Remember that bubble shield surrounding the Universe? It prevented the guardians from entering the Universe to awaken the Crisis Senshi, and it would only allow them entrance if the prophecy was fulfilled. But after the hole in the bubble shield was recently created, and Sailor Moon was killed, the guardians have thrown caution to the wind and entered the Universe to tell the Crisis Senshi of their destiny. Only when a guardian says to a Crisis Senshi, "You are Sailor (insert senshi name here)" and gives them their henshin stick will a Crisis Senshi be awakened, and even then, they will only have a slight inkling of their full power; they need more training yet. The Crisis Senshi are only just starting to be awakened.

The Negaverse Senshi were awakened by receiving a vision in a dream, after which their henshin sticks appeared when they woke up. The exceptions to this rule are Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus, who were awakened when Luna and Artemis visited them, respectively. The Negaverse Senshi have been awakened at least fifteen (Universe) years (one year and three months in Negaverse time); the dream that Naoko Takeuchi received was from the present time's Moon Princess, who was trying to allow the Crisis Senshi to be awakened soon enough that they could be trained and strong enough to handle the new enemy in 15 years. In other words, the princess in Naoko's dream was Sailor Moon, and the events of Sailor Moon had already happened. If you're applying for a Negaverse Senshi, remember to include your senshi's awakening somewhere in the history!

Endymion

First things first: Endymion is currently in the Negaverse, but preparing to move to the Universe. After waiting about a week for a response from the Senshi, he has decided it's definitely time to take action (why he waited a week is up to you). His first course of action is figuring out what went wrong with the teleportation device that sent the Senshi out to the Universe (the device's name is up to you). Soon, he'll realize that nothing really went wrong with it, it's just that the space between dimensions is far less penetrable than he first anticipated. Next, he goes to Helios (who will be played by an admin for now) to help him cross over to the Universe, because by traveling through dreams, one can go anywhere in the space-time continuum. Endymion hadn't gone to Helios until now because he wanted Helios staying in Elysion to watch over it, but now that an emergency is clearly upon him, Endymion is going to Helios as a last resort. This is all the backstory you need to play Endymion: We'll start from his meeting with Helios if you get accepted.

Dream Fairies

Say hello to the new and improved Amazon Trio!

Let me give you a bit of backstory before I give you info about applying. The Amazon Trio was first encountered by the Senshi as individuals who appeared under the service of the Amazoness Quartet, like monsters of the day. However, like in the anime, they were becoming aware of the fact that they did not possess dreams, but they were each killed by the senshi before they had a chance to act on this. Don’t get me wrong – the Trio was to blame there. Motives varied between the three of them, but after each realized that he or she didn’t have dreams, each reacted differently and somehow all three came to the conclusion that killing the senshi would make it better (maybe because they were bitter, maybe because they were just emotional – who knows?).

Anywho, after each was killed by the senshi, they were transformed into their original, Elysian form. This is because originally, each one was an animal guardian of Elysion, much like the members of the Amazoness Quartet were originally the next Moon Princess’s guardians. However, the Amazon Trio’s original function also went beyond being animal guardians. Under the tutelage of Helios, they reclaimed their original roles as the Dream Fairies, a trio of magical, immortal beings who have power over dreams and watch over the dreams of humans.

While Helios is technically more powerful than they are, he would not have his power over dreams without them, for they make it possible for dreams to exist at all. This is why, when they were taken by Nehellenia, Elysion began to deteriorate: With the existence of dreams in danger, the world of dreams could not exist. In other words, the Trio has the ability to deliver and inspire dreams, to take away and distort dreams, and even to determine how strong of a hold a dream will have on a person (although they cannot determine what a person will do with his or her dreams – this remains subject to human will and choice). Each of their spheres represents a different type of dream; dreams of giving to others simply to make them happy, dreams of desires that one may or may not believe will ever be realized (sometimes selfless, sometimes selfish), and dreams of reaching successes that a person may or may not want.

In the time between Nehellenia’s fall and the present situation, the three members were acting, as stated previously, as animal guardians of Elysion, protecting the Kingdom of Dreams from any and all sort of threat alongside Helios. However, in order to grant Endymion’s wish to enter the Universe, Helios must send the Amazon Trio with Endymion, for apart from the power of an entire team of strong, trained Sailor Senshi, the only beings able to teleport across realms are those with reign over the things that pass through consciousness: Fairies and, in this case, Helios himself. Of course, Helios couldn’t leave Elysion defenseless, so he sent the entire Amazon Trio with Endymion, because the only way to manifest in a physical form in another realm (rather than simply appear in a person’s dream) is for all three Fairies to teleport at once alongside whoever they wish to teleport. Now, the Dream Fairies are with Endymion, watching over him and providing him with advice.

Now, on to fun information - powers! The Dream Fairies are actually not at all meant for combat. Sure, they have separate forms from their civilian identities, but in those separate forms, they have no magical attacks. Each Fairy does, however, have moderate defense powers (think of this as the good version of the kind of "bonus powers" that baddies share, like teleporting), including the ability to summon small force fields to protect themselves and others from physical attacks and even the ability to combine powers to create more powerful force fields. They also all share powers relating to dreams, like being able to enter or view people's dreams, and what was mentioned previously about their abilities to give/take dreams. Still, this point is incredibly important: THEY ARE NOT FIGHTERS. AT ALL. They will almost never be involved in battles in any story, except maybe in an indirect way (like shouting encouragement or inspiring a character through dreams).

However, this does NOT mean that they are not important; on the contrary, they will definitely be often-seen minor characters in the rest of this first arc, and they will be terribly important (i.e. probably in almost every episode) during the second arc. This is because any time a dream occurs to a person, it is because of the Dream Fairies. Sure, Helios often tells them what to do, where to go, but at the end of the day it's them sending dreams. In fact, the only reason Sailor Moon was able to enter Naoko Takeuchi's dream to warn her about the prophecy was because of the Dream Fairies, though the Negaverse Senshi were not aware of the Dream Fairies' involvement because they actually don't know that the Dream Fairies even exist anymore (they think that after they defeated the Amazon Trio, they just transformed into animals and were never seen or heard from again).

What this really means: If you are playing a character to whose history dreams are important, you had better believe that you will be interacting with the Dream Fairies plenty. Kazuo (dreams about Sailor Moon that caused him to become Tuxedo Kamen)? Kohaku or Tamaki or Mujou (anyone with prophetic dreams, really)? A NEGAVERSE SENSHI (awakening dreams)? The Dream Fairies will be important to all of you!

Keep in mind, too, that originally, the Dream Fairies existed even before Helios (in fact, they were the ones who appointed him to his position as High Priest of Elysion), but because of Nehellenia's meddling, they have lost all of their memories and are basically starting over on a new slate. They possess tremendously important powers, even if these powers are not "powerful" in the traditional sense of the word. They only remember everything they did under Nehellenia, and nothing else. Also, as always, feel free to take liberally from either manga or anime canon, or a combination of both! It's entirely up to you.

I'm sure that many of you may be thinking by now, "Geez, no battles and just tagging along with Endymion? This team must be hella boring!" To be honest, of all the factions, they will probably see the least action in our current arc, but that doesn't mean that they won't be around or that you can't create Side Stories to your heart's content! Also, this team is the least involved right now, but they are also the most open faction to apply for because, unlike the other factions, you don't need to come up with attacks for them, they have the least developed backstory (and therefore the most freedom there), and since their role is still a tiny bit fuzzy, you can play around with their personalities and their motives! Not familiar at all with Sailor Moon canon? App Dream Fairies! Hate coming up with senshi form stuff (aside from fuku)? App Dream Fairies!

Want to be a part of the fruitiest faction around? You guessed it - APP DREAM FAIRIES!
